Abstract:
The purpose of this article is not the transfer of technology from the academic world to the commercial world but the development and, more precisely, the subsequent transfer of technology from a commercial area with a higher level of technological advancement into a commercial area (= companies) with a lower level of technological maturity. Specifically, it is the transfer of a newly developed robotic line. The way in which such an advanced technology will affect the company's environment, in particular, a structural view of the role of project manager of the transfer project is described. Data collection was carried out at a company with more than 150 employees. The methods include provided documentation, a questionnaire survey and individual and group interviews. For the evaluation, the Social Network Analysis method was used. The findings show that the project manager, due to his/her professional position, has an important opportunity to influence the development of the team building. In addition, this phenomenon of the implementation of the teams has not yet been explored in the field of technology transfer. From the point of view of creating the conditions for increasing the success of the transfer projects, it is clear that the choice of the project manager can fundamentally affect the acceptance of new technology into the company.
