Abstract:
The Higher Education Area (HEA) indicates the need for international cooperation which is beneficial for both faculty and students. Current mobility programs consist of internships, exchanges and trainings for students or teachers. This article presents an opportunity for gaining experience in the area of motion capture, thanks to international cooperation and exchange. Visits and internships at motion capture laboratories enable researchers to familiarize themselves with various types of mocap and virtual reality equipment. They also allow for the development of 3D data processing applications. This article presents the results of a one month international internship in a motion capture laboratory and sets out plans for further cooperation (e.g. internships, trainings). Cooperating laboratories are located in Poland at the Lublin University of Technology and in Spain at University of Alicante. The labs are dedicated to the capturing of motion data and its further post-processing and analysis. This paper also clarifies the procedures that have to follow in international coordination. This form of collaboration is beneficial for both universities, especially with respect to scientific publications.
