Abstract:
The article focuses on pedagogical, didactic and linguistic bases of developing worksheets. In addition, it discusses possibilities of their use in teaching and learning professional German language in tourism. It also describes why specific materials and tasks in the worksheets have been selected, as well as the results of partial students´ evaluation on the use of worksheets in the period of 2016 – 2019. It shows a change of paradigm connected with the postmodern situation. The worksheets were mainly developed for the students of Management of Tourism at the Faculty of Informatics and Management of the University of Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic, for those students who want to develop communicative promptness (both active and passive), associative and thinking promptness, which are competences students can use in their future profession. They also expand their knowledge basis and put in context their acquired knowledge of history, geography, culture, intercultural relations, political science, intercultural relations, or ecology.
