Abstract:
With the purpose of to help to improve the school success and to obtain an education of quality, the Ministerio de Educación starts a set of plans and programmes of cooperation with the Autonomous Communities, which allow to reach the educational aims of general character, to strengthen the basic competencies of the students, to favor the knowledge and appreciation of the cultural wealth and linguistics of the different Communities by students, as well as to contribute to the inter-regional solidarity and to the territorial balance in the compensation of inequalities.
One of these initiatives is the ARCE Programme (Groups or Networks of Educational Centres), that arises in the year 2006 in order to develop common projects, which must be carried out in team among all the educational centres or public institutions of the area of the education that participant in the Programme and located in different Autonomous Communities, as well as in the cities of Ceuta and Melilla.
The common projects seek to stimulate, on the one hand, encourage exchanges between schools and institutions and the mobility of students, teachers or other education professionals to contribute to the acquisition and improvement of their skills, not only on skills, areas, or issues that are central to the project, but also the ability to work as a team. On the other hand, seeks to strengthen education networks, all in order to achieve a better quality of education.
The fundamental axes of the program are two of the basic principles contemplated in the Organic Law 2/2006, of May 3, of Education (LOE): the importance of the cooperation and collaboration of the educational community to obtain an education of quality, and the spaces of autonomy of the centers, which allow them to adapt his actions to the characteristics of the students, to the circumstances of the center or to the desires of the professorship..
