Abstract:
The progress of ICT in recent years has done that distance, among other fields, higher education sees the need to adapt to new ways of presenting and accessing information, along with the way to interact with it. ICTs have been incorporated gradually, by facilitating the teaching other forms of creating and presenting their educational content with authoring tools and making them reach their students through LMS platforms. The Rey Juan Carlos University has conducted a pilot study subjects online, about the importance of the incorporation of interactive multimedia contents that facilitate the learning of students. This pilot arises from the need to start a process of design, development and deployment of interactive digital educational content for different training areas of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, as the online of academic credit recognition (RAC) subjects, subjects of master, etc. To meet this need we need to define a sustainable production model and carried out an analysis of applications that allow the design and development of content that meet current needs: accessibility, usability, responsive design, etc. With the production model developed and selected applications is carried out a process of creation and adaptation of the materials of the online courses, incorporating multimedia, interactive and adaptive elements. Created interactive multimedia materials will improve the experience of the student by making it more attractive, improving its navigability and interaction and promoting access to materials from different devices, anytime, anywhere. This positive experience highlights the importance of the adaptation of educational materials through ICT, to promote the learning of the student anywhere and from any location.
