Abstract:
One of the most important concerns, since 2008 is the internationalization of education in the Americas, and for that are held several meetings that have brought the positions on the education of the academic community in America. The first one held in Canada in 2010, the second in Brazil in 2012, the third in Mexico in 2013 and fourth in Ecuador in 2015; the next meeting will be held in the city of Montreal-Canada in 2017. So far it has managed to involve 2,316 academics and education managers belonging to 26 member associations CAEI (Congress of the Americas on International Education), 550 Speakers, 164 academic, 330 institutions and organizations and 52 countries across 5 continents. This shows the growing interest of America to understand education as a process and not by regional countries individualizing the problem when integrated solutions are of greater impact and sustainability. Analyzing education in a regional context leads a powerful integrator to get social mobility across the continent and in the future a continent where there are greater opportunities for all and thus the social peace that was so alien in some countries. Meetings and parallel sessions is clear that we are not close to achieving integration, but are very close to discuss relevant issues that make us so far is certainly the beginning of a long process but certainly convergent end to allow you to find the educational integration of the Americas; whereby the agreed regional agenda on education in the Americas will develop. Today the economic and socio-cultural differences distance us, but many countries in the region are on the sure path to sustained growth this will bring confidence and security in the region; but the future of education must walk along a parallel path; as the economy seeks its equilibrium, education must work on the challenges that this will bring in the future.
