Abstract:
A modern teacher is faced with a situation in which the system of his work is completely changing. This is due to the fact that modern society operates in the conditions of informatization and digitalization in all areas of life. In this regard, it is necessary to develop new training technologies that take into account new working conditions. In such conditions, critical thinking becomes one of the components of a teacher’s professional competence.The article presents the analysis of „critical thinking“ term’s evolution based on integrative approach in professional training and 2) its main characteristics as a success factor within conditions of modern informational society. One of the most promising and debatable areas in modern education is the use of STREAM technology, which means a completely new approach and a different understanding of the goals and ways of implementing the educational process. In this case, practice is ahead of theory, but this lead is explainable by the results that new technologies allow to achieve. The use of such technologies creates a new problem - the training of teaching staff who can not only effectively implement such technologies, but also be able to independently develop them. In addition, the problem arises of studying the features of the use of such technologies in the Russian educational space. Thus, a social order appears for the training of a competent specialist who is aware of the complexity and importance of his activities in the context of the global challenges of our time. The answer to these challenges is a new attitude towards the training of professional professionals who are able to work in conditions of a dynamically changing information field, are able to manage information flows and reduce the risks of their impact on a person, owning a high level of competency formation, new training and education technologies focused on forming , the development and improvement of personality, capable of carrying out their activities in new and difficult conditions. A distinctive feature of such specialists of a new type should, in our opinion, be their critical thinking. We would like to draw special attention to the formation of critical thinking among future teachers of a foreign language, as they deal with other cultures, with a different way of life, traditions, customs and ideals. The relationship between the content of the integrative approach in foreign language education and the essence of the term “critical thinking” within conditions of modern informational society were considered. A special attention is given to the implementation of „critical thinking of foreign language teacher“’s term.

The conclusion is as follows:
1) using the integrative approach within the framework of professional education based on STREAM-technology, this type of thinking acquires professional specifics, which is determined by the scope of the professional subject field and the linguistic world-image;
2) critical thinking as a one of the 21st century skill should become a main success factor of foreign language teachers within conditions of modern informational society.

We assume that when applying the integrative approach within the framework of foreign language vocational education on the basis of STREAM technology, critical thinking acquires professional specifics, which is determined by the framework of the professional subject field and the integrative language picture of the world.
