Abstract:
Admission and retention of students in universities are permeated by adjusting expectations being a multifaceted process developed in everyday relationships between students and institution. For the World Health Organization (WHO), quality of life is "an individual's perception of his perception of life in the context of culture and value systems in which they live and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards and concerns".

Objectives:
To analyze the health-related quality of life of the university's School of Health at the University of Amazonas State; check the scores of overall quality of life and its dimensions (physical, psychological, social , environmental) and compare the levels of quality of life with socio demographic variables.

Method:
A cross quantitative research study, with the show of 121 students of nursing, medicine and dentistry. We used two different questionnaires: social demographic and WHOQOL (OMS). The project was submitted to the committee of ethics in research and approved by CEP/UEA 183/11.

Results:
As for the overall QOL score indicated satisfaction with life (70.4%) while the physical, psychological, social and environmental scores showed respectively 59.5%, 70.3%, 67.6% and 53 1%.

Conclusion:
The population obtained scores of quality of life expressing satisfaction with life, presenting a loss in the physical environment when considers the scale of 0 (worst QOF) and 100 (best QOL).
