Abstract:
Certainly the digital age has changed several aspects of modern life, from the world economy to the lifestyle of people, this era has brought several advantages such as access to more and better information through collaborative sites like Wikipedia, blogs, online newspapers, digital books, research papers or reports, social networks; It has also facilitated communication, whether written through social networks or email, for video, thanks to free programs such as Skype which provides video service called Internet; another advantage that has brought the digital age is the ease of doing business, any item can be purchased from anywhere in the world at any time without the need to move to where the seller is located.

According to Brynjolfsson and McAfee (2014) this analysis is possible by three key factors:
1. The exponential growth of processing power of computers, as explained in Moore's law where it is stated that approximately every two years the power of computing processors doubles and whose performance has been found to date.
2. The digitization of information, which converts all kinds of information and media (text, sound, photos, videos, data from instruments and sensors, etc.) into ones and zeros that is the native language of computers; this is translated into new ways of acquiring knowledge and higher rates of innovation.
3. Recombinant Innovation, where an increasing number of individuals and groups use digital networked devices along with a variety of software to combine and recombine ideas radicall. This causes availability to all economy new products and "hyper-efficient" at increasingly cheaper prices and sometimes free.

Before measuring the impact of digitization in Mexico it is important to measure the analysis. It is important to measure the level of digitization of a country, and it is essential that it can be quantified, according to Katz (2012), digitization can be measured by the impact that economic and social brings to discrete technology platforms such as mobile telephony, internet access, adoption of broadband and its use to gain economic benefits from this, therefore, the transition to digitized societies must be analyzed in terms of a set of indicators that measure not only the adoption but also the use of these technologies (such as the importance of electronic commerce, the adoption of e-government applications and the use of social networks).

Undoubtedly Mexico, as most countries, has been affected by the digital era, however there are several factors that do not allow some parts of Mexico to be benefited from this wave, although the country has progressed by 37% in its rate of digitization in the last eight years, this shows a long delay in key areas such as network reliability, accessibility, network capacity and utilization, particularly in the area of use, the most important challenges include the need to increase the adoption of electronic commerce, increase the use of internet, and use of social networks.

In the field of human resources, there is a need to increase the volume of graduates in science, technology and engineering, as well as increase the capacitation of the workforce in the secondary education. This will result in the way of ease of doing business in Mexico in order to create a competitive advantage based on innovation that allows them to increases is market share.
