Abstract:
Background:
“Docentic” program is aimed at the production of teaching materials and multimedia learning material in open access. These materials must be autonomous, modular, flexible and reusable units, designed as a support for teaching available in virtual classroom. The material can be consulted by students at any time, resolving doubts and increasing confidence in themselves before beginning their clinical practices with real patients in the subject of Practicum at the Dental Clinic of the University of Valencia.

Objectives:
The objectives that we established were: to develop multimedia educational videos with real patients and coordinated by the Practicum teachers and secondly, to have these videos evaluated by the students.

Material and method:
The first part of the study consisted in recording the videos of the students working with real patients by a university technician, while the second part, involved an assessment of the videos by the students through an anonymous questionnaire downloaded from the virtual classroom.

Results:
72.2% of students enrolled in the subject answered the questionnaire, being the average score of 20.44.

Conclusions:
Multimedia educational videos are a useful and effective self-learning tool for the students. The vast majority of students were satisfied with the content, interest, quality, duration and practical application of the videos. The university projects as “Docentic” can help in the development of this kind of material.
