Abstract:
The purpose of this work is to study and develop a strategy of teaching students how to effectively reveal a conflict media field as the strategy of teaching students how to resolve conflicts arising in mass media is one of the essential goals for universities. The methodological framework developed in the study is based on a specific process included into the formal structure of education aimed at the development of personal communicative conflict prevention skills. It can be exemplified by international aspects of doping scandals covered by electronic periodicals and publications in Russian online sports newspapers that recent conflicts in mass media content ensure the growth of such personal traits and skills as non-conventional thinking, creativity, occupation-specific memory etc.

The findings of this study have proved that educational cognitive strategies make it possible to study sports journalism as the subject of the value system and public opinion formation and they help to provide the kind of context for new information which supports media communication students in investigating specific nature of doping scandals covered by sports media and enable them to study sport as an ideological element of the state policy.

Finally, it has to be concluded that current methods of media communication studies and journalism curriculum planning for a specific thematic sphere are related to the persistent interest of the world community in doping scandals. Organizing methods of self-managing students’ work make them guided by the work of skilled journalists who not only write media articles for periodicals but also conduct research on current sources covering the use of doping in sport.

The study has shown that the alteration of conflict prevention educational strategy can be made within the university education as it is required to develop journalists’ professional expertise. The results of the article have been effectively used as part of Kazan Federal University strategy in developing media communication students’ professional skills for effective neutralization of communicative conflict situations in mass media.
