Abstract:
The cooperation between the university and the economic community could be done in different ways and it is very important for both parts. First of all, the success of such cooperation could be measured by the number of university’s graduates in the labour market, and, moreover, how many are working in the field, which they attended. Nowadays, the continuous changing of the economy induces, more and more high demands for the graduate’s professional background, not only in the technical field who they attended by also for the general soft skills accumulated. At the Transilvania University of Brasov (UTBv) exists a cooperation strategy with the economic community, which allow the possibility of the companies to interfere in the student’s didactical and research processes. Thus, the periodical discussions within the frame of Economic Partners Council of UTBv, the summer schools organized in partnership, the joint Bachelor or Master degree papers, the joint research projects, the courses and practical activities coordinated by economic community representatives, are only a few activities developed at UTBv, having a common aim – to adjust the university culture (in terms of students and staff) to the economic community needs.
