Abstract:
The research study was concerned with measuring the attitude of the parents without special education need children towards inclusive education. The main objective of this study was to compare the attitude of parents with and with special needs children.
One hundred (100) parents with equal distribution of parents with special needs children and without special needs children were selected randomly for this study. Questionnaire for parents was developed and validated through experts opinions. Researcher personally approached to each respondent and collected the data, most of the respondents cooperated during collection of information for data analysis.
The collected data was tallied and analyzed by using the mean, SD, percentages, and t-test. The parents were generally found to have positive attitudes toward inclusive education and were in favour of inclusion. The results of this investigation are significant in the sense that the understanding of parents’ attitudes is critical for the successful implementation of inclusive education. Inclusion has positive effects on children with and without special needs.
