Abstract:
The Defence Research Project is a project that is addressed by a group of university teachers, post-graduates and students in a bachelor's and master's degree program of University of Defence, in conjunction with other experts in the field of military and civilian industry, while the specific interests and tasks of the Army of the Czech Republic are monitored, following the interests and co-operation within NATO and the government policy of the Czech Republic. The University of the Defence is a state military college, it has three faculties and its headquarters are in Brno. The entire project addresses several areas; the following contribution is focused on the issue of designing, construction, operation and cancellation of military bases on foreign missions. The subject of interest in these military bases are objects of engineer character, therefore, the project takes place at the Department of Engineer Technologies at the Faculty of Military Technology. The project seeks, among other things, to improve and streamline the existing procedures and bring them into the new order. The solution of the project creates the link of scientific research activities of the university with the needs of practice, in its special field. Nevertheless, many research results can be used in many other areas of the civil sector.
