Abstract:
MO!N literally means "morning" and is the North German way to say "hi". MO!N is a research and development project that develops an innovative, industrial-oriented and needs-oriented further training scheme for the lateral entry career changers into the agricultural sector. MO!N stands for: Moderate, orient, integrate, network - intercultural knowledge-based education for agriculture. The goal of the project is to create not only a company- or person-specific qualification or further education with the involvement of blended learning and senior experts and tandem models, but also new forms of sectoral networking. In addition to the professional qualification in theory and practice, the imparting of branch and / or experience knowledge about senior experts, intercultural competence, the facilitation of communication forums, networks as well as the development of language competences are basic elements of the further education.

Beschäftigung & Bildung, Hamburg, M2C Institute Bremen and the Lower Saxony Chamber of Agriculture implemented the R&D project MOIN for the development and testing of innovative further education formats for the group of "hidden reserves" for integration into the labor market of the green professions. The models of the project should take into account the practical needs of the companies while at the same time filling the gaps caused by demographic change, skills shortages and labor shortages. The project will meet the growing demands of the world of work 4.0. taken into account and developed solutions in the context of the digitization of the working world.

The "hidden reserve" in MO!N include the following groups of persons:
- Slightly employed and not formally qualified
- Part-time employees, especially women
- Migrants and refugees

Requirements and solutions in the context of digitization and innovative personnel development
According to the Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media (Bitkom), around half of all companies in agriculture use digital applications. High-tech agricultural machinery, feeding machines, robots and drones are increasingly being used. Training requirements are based on the development towards specialized skilled workers, lack of digital skills and fears of contact with digital technologies inhibit the innovative capacity of companies and require future-oriented continuing education formats. At the same time, companies are confronted with a growing shortage of skilled workers, which makes it necessary to employ non-specialist employees, who have the greater need for further training. Digital education is only just beginning in the agricultural sector.

The benefits of improving digital knowledge transfer in agriculture are thus obvious:
- Implementation of continuous education in the sense of lifelong learning
- Job-related training integrating digital education solutions and adapted learning infrastructures; Downtime costs and time savings for companies, participants and speakers
- Learning times and learning pace can be individually and flexibly adapted by the participants to the personal situation and the situation on the farms
- Process orientation for a holistic understanding of agriculture 4.0
- The solution approaches of the MOIN project combine the classic training and continuing education formats (company practice and vocational school or training centers) with self-learning units, knowledge transfer, peer-learning and part-time models.
