Abstract:
Nowadays, it is necessary to take into account the fact that, in addition to theoretical knowledge, their training system must be largely made up of practical applications resulting from practical needs. In the last years of university studies in economic studies at the University of Economics, it is essential that the content of the subjects that focus on corporate finance is formed in close synergy with the businesses that will employ graduates in the future. But it is equally important to try to apply the results of one's own research in the university environment to the subject, so that students can contextualize traditional practices with new research as part of the educational process. The aim of our paper is to present the possibilities of project teaching in the area of ​​corporate finance management and measurement of business performance indicators in the creation of long-term corporate strategies. This post reflects our teaching experience in teaching Financial Analysis and Financial Planning at the Faculty of Business Management of the University of Economics in Bratislava. In the contribution we describe the inclusion in the subject teaching application of the enterprise performance model created by our own research. Students apply the model on real-time businesses in the double-entry accounting system. In the presented model there are indicators that enable to predict prosperity as well as to help management in planning business strategies. Presentation of partial results of business strategy planning during the semester, which are realized by different entry values ​​from the financial statements, will enable the achievement of learning achievements faster.
