Abstract:
Being a teacher is a career profession that requires hard work and dedication however many factors promote teachers motivations in school and in university contexts.
Idealized points of view of teaching could suggest that teacher profession is motivating and satisfying task but sometimes it requires a considerable effort. University professors spend many years of their lives to form and prepare to impart quality teaching and to develop the skills as teachers and as researchers. Moreover, the current system does often not allow them to perform the task of teaching a class. This fact has led us to think that once novel teachers get access to teaching positions may be some surprises.

In this sense, our working group has carried out an assessment of the motivations that new teachers have for wanting to teaching, time spent in preparing their lessons, the goals that they want to get, the fears that they have to overcome and the assessment of the experiences. Moreover, it is interesting to know the level of satisfaction of novel teachers about their task and how they feel about their work.

It has also made a comparison between the results obtained with new teachers and those who already have some years in the profession in order to observe if there are differences when the experience is increasing.
