Abstract:
The scenario in which the current Spanish University is involved is clearly characterized by the growing impact of new educational technologies, so we can talk about new paradigms or pedagogical models. Thus, new management models (protagonists of distance education) have an increased weight, so that both teachers and learners have to be subject to continuous adaptation. The so-called "Web 0.0" has brought the emergence of innovative and pedagogical educational platforms of online training, such as Moodle (mentioned Moodle because it is the educational platform that mostly uses the Open University of Madrid and is also one of the most used and known platform, although we are aware that there are many more). These platforms have the common feature that enclose collaborative tools that have brought these new pedagogical models, in which we will focus throughout our intervention.

It should be mentioned that new educational models have a major role, not only in the university sector, but in all educational settings. However, in our intervention, we will focus on the case of the University, as the reality we know best (due to the daily life of our work as teachers at the Open University of Madrid). In fact, it is not trivial comment that it is precisely in higher education in the scenario in which have been applied more intensely the new technologies. Thus, the traditional classroom face character, has gone virtual classrooms, as spaces in which the teacher-student and inter-student communication, but will not be instantaneous, if hugely direct, overcoming space barriers - time and making the educational experience into something extremely novel.
