Abstract:
Acknowledging what you are feeling and taking the time to see what triggered and sparked the emotion, can help you internally treat your feelings instead of acting randomly on any feeling and without thinking. It is important to give the time to yourself to feel everything, both positive and negative. It will be the worst thing to pushing them away without tackling what sparked these emotions. The main thing is not to act with passion but with fully processing them, all of these are important steps to progressing emotional awareness. Talking about processing and scrutinizing emotions deeply takes another way to think about emotional awareness in the form of critical thinking, which is helping for treating feelings before taking actions, all of these prompt to say that critical thinking and emotional awareness go hand-in-hand. Moreover, emotions can play an important role in how we think and behave, what we feel each day can compel us to influence the decisions that we make in our lives. Emotional intelligence and critical thinking are both the pillars of pinnacle success, especially when they applied in the field of education. Since the body and mind associated with each other, so what students think about and even how they think is under the impact of emotions and what is surrounding, in the broadest sense, emotions can influence the students’ process of thinking, content of thinking, and problem solving. Emotions can be a bridge that linked the students’ physical and social environment. Our study’s aims are to identify to what extent emotion and feeling help students to handle the problems that they can face, teachers how truly understand student’s emotions, and the role of integrating critical thinking among students to simplify the way to improve the emotional intelligence. Moreover, this study explores the effect of emotional intelligence on critical thinking and problem solving and its importance to critical thinking as the main goal. Regarding this framework, the study intends to show the above goals by focusing on the systematic literature review to dive deeper into the term of emotional intelligence and critical thinking as a competency that is being required from students in their personal and professional life. For this reason, teachers should do their most to include this content in their methodology to create a concordance between the inner and outer universe of the student. As an intending result of this study, is drawing general highlights of the significance of emotional intelligence and critical thinking in the field of school psychology, and to result the great relationship between the both terms.
