Abstract:
Academic leadership is a fundamental function in the conduct of educational organizations, the efficient use of the time of the directors is as important as the capacity and competences of those in charge of executing the activities of all organizations, at all levels, in elementary, middle and high schools. In this paper, the scope of the Universities and institutions of higher edition is chosen to describe the way a director uses time if he or she wants to be a true LEADER.

In this work, four areas of activity are established in which the manager who pretends to be an academic leader and whose work transcends must be employed. The use of the personal time of the Director is described in a diagram divided into quadrants of a Cartesian System, where the social activity is indicated on the abscissa "x", and in the ordinates "y", the personal activity of the director of the organization, the quadrants indicate the activities to which you must devote your time and attention: I. Exercise your position, II. Socialize with your community, II. Observe their environment and the world, and IV. Keep your own training continued. If the Manager dedicates 25% of their time to each of the activities indicated would be ideal, however that is not possible, so it is more important to maintain attention to all activities, to achieve a good balance.

From the areas indicated in each quadrant, the derived pedagogical activities that must be performed in order to achieve the best results in the organization are represented in ten diagrams. Represented: the desired purposes in the organization, the organizational resources necessary to achieve them, the specific actions to be carried out, the various benefits, the general educational benefits, and above all, the importance of planning and applying "Pedagogical Intervention Programs" is highlighted, for the achievement of the educational organization.

The advantages of good use of time are described in the ten diagrams and the negative aspects of the deformations are indicated, if the best practices in the performance of the Leader are not applied, which will provide the best results according to a true Director educational and not just an administrator. With the diverse activities that can be carried out, the instances of a function, the working groups, the legal frameworks and especially the educational products that can be expected with the efficient use of a manager's time, that can transform it, are analyzed, of an executor of functions, in a recognized PEDAGOGICAL LEADER.
