Abstract:
This communication aims to show the use of teacher’s portfolio (TP) as a tool for continuous improving of the teaching practise. The TP is a document that records your achievements as teacher, therefore allows you to reflect about your teaching practise and could serve also as support for applying in tenure track and career promotion. A TP is a living document that will change over the time as you evaluate your teaching, reflect and act over the results, and develop different approaches to teaching. Therefore, TP becomes a self-evidence of the teaching career, but also, reflect experiences and best practises emerged from the day-to-day teaching practise.

Nowadays, Europe is immersed in the change promoted by the European Space of Higher Education (ESHE). Therefore, the TP approach of teacher’s self analysis, reflection and own assessment enhances and promotes the transition from the classical university environment to another based on students as subjects of their own learning (learning to learn) and on a curricula organized by skills, abilities and aptitudes.
