Abstract:
The implementation of the European Higher Education at University favoured among others the use of the continuous assessment. There are many options in order to implement this kind of assessment in the Engineering context. For example, the evaluation by using continuous exams throughout the course can favoured the objective of obtaining better qualifications and above all assimilate better the learning of subject concepts. There are other techniques as the using of online open courses, the collaborative learning techniques, the using of knowledge pills, the use of rapid response devices during classes, etc. This paper shows the results of implementation of some of them: the using of short exercises exams, theoretical tests via online, laboratory sessions and finally the recently implementation of collaborative learning techniques combined with the use of rapid response devices. All these have been experimented in the subject of Materials Science. This subject is taught in the degree of Mechanical engineering of Defense University Center of Marin. The sample of students are a group of 60-70 on average and the results were analysed for the courses between the years 2014 until 2020. For this purpose, statistical analyses of these courses have been carried out and the conclusions reached of all these.
