Abstract:
Design and implementation of a new package of interactive didactic strategies for teaching, learning and assessment for the subjects in "Technology" curriculum area, is in progress, in order to improve the quality of pre and university education in Romania. In this context, lessons from the specified curricular area, are designed in a new format and will be tested, validated and posted on an interactive online educational platform.
To achieve these it is necessary to use a model framework, a template to guide the teacher, as a designer, in making the interactive lesson. Initial work was conducted based on a template provided by the private partner in this project, Ascendia Design Ltd. It ingeniously combines the scientific component and the pedagogical and didactic component, representing a novel form of teaching project that offers teachers the possibility to pursue their higher theoretical knowledge as well as, to develop their imagination and creativity. It gives them the opportunity to bring in new aspects of the lesson, personal interpretation, and different materials without needing to produce them by themselves, but only to identify them from the multitude of sources that they have on hand and put them in a scientific and pedagogical and didactic pre-established scheme.
A learning unit can contain multiple lessons, a lesson can contain multiple events, and an event can contain multiple frames. The template used in lessons scriptwriting has to follow a well-defined hierarchy based on the structure: Learning unit - Lesson - Event - Framework. In didactical designing of a lesson for the class, the hierarchical structure stops at the event level, the teacher having the freedom to modify the development of projected activities according to the actual situation of the class on that time. In e-leaning units designing, this is no longer possible, so the teacher has to plan the lesson detailing each event to the level of action components (frames). By this way of development, the events are divided into frames with the possibility to be used in more than one software scenario, are corresponding to the educational requirements and reaching the XXI century skills and the metadata is detailing the targeted objectives and competences of the constituent elements.
