Abstract:
The advent of computer has changed the way teachers teach and learners learn. One aspect of Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) is podcasting. Podcasting allows teachers to expand the confines of their classrooms by delivering on-demand audio files via the web. Podcasts have the flexibility to be listened by different devices such as laptops, personal computers, Mp3 players and mobiles. Moreover, podcasts let learners have access to the files whenever and wherever they like. The participants of this study were 35 EFL learners majoring Translation Studies. Date gathering was done both qualitatively and quantitatively. The participants took pre and post test and filled a questionnaire. The analyses of both qualitative and quantitative date revealed that podcasting caused a significance difference in participants' listening ability and they showed good feeling toward podcasting.
